Combining a powerful multi-core architecture with a compact form factor, the L‑ISA Processor is the audio heart of each L‑ISA system. For extreme reliability, the L‑ISA Processor focuses solely on spatial audio processing, offering panning and room simulation for up to 96 audio objects based on speaker positioning information and mixing parameters (pan, width, distance, elevation, aux send) and creating direct speaker feeds to L‑Acoustics amplified controllers. The high-resolution DSP engine is fully compatible with 96 kHz sampling rate and performs 32 bits floating point operations with low input-to-output latency (<5 ms). The L‑ISA Processor is remotely and uniquely controlled by the L‑ISA Controller.

The multi-core DSP engine features 32bit floating point processing with a sampling rate of up to 96kHz. It offers real-time control of pan, width, distance and elevation per input, parametric speaker setups up to 32 outputs, IRCAM room simulation engine for distance effect, including automatic mono, stereo and LCR downmixes, and remote i/o level-monitoring, all with an input-to-output delay of less than <5ms.
The L‑ISA Controller is the central communication interface of an L‑ISA professional installation. It offers, on a single screen, a visualization of all sound objects in the 3D mixing space for live monitoring and user interaction in Windows and Mac OS environments.
The L‑ISA Controller gathers communication from other interfaces (L‑ISA plugins, trackers/sensors from Open Sound Control messages, mixing desk…) and provides an advanced priority mechanism to allocate control of selected parameters (pan, width, distance, elevation, aux send) for each object. In order to minimize the flow of control parameters and maximize reliability, it is the only communication link to the L‑ISA Processor.
The L‑ISA Controller configuration is saved in a session file that comprises all configuration settings, including grouping information, snapshots, reverb settings, naming of sources and groups and priority settings for external controllers.
The speaker configuration can be applied to an existing session without having to having to update any of the other parameters. It can be created directly into the L‑ISA Controller or imported from a Soundvision file.
The L‑ISA Source Control Plugin offers seamless integration with the automation features of all major digital audio workstations, such as Avid Pro Tools, Steinberg Nuendo or Ableton Live and is available as a VST and AAX plugin for Windows and Mac OS.
The L‑ISA mixing parameters (pan, width, distance, elevation, aux send) are available as automation data in the timeline of the workstation. Parameters can be directly edited in the timeline or stored during playback from direct user interaction on the L‑ISA Controller.
The L‑ISA Source Control Plugin automatically connects with the L‑ISA Controller over the network, allowing the Controller and the Source Control Plugin to reside on different machines for practicality without requiring complex configuration.
